Be careful what you wish for.
If you truly want to get close to me, you have to be willing to be seen. You have to be willing to be exposed in ways that you may have never experienced before. Your heart and soul will no longer be able to hide behind the walls… those walls will simply not stand against me.
I see more than you may realize… more than you may want. I pay attention to things that fly over the heads of the masses. I will see your fears, your anxiety, your worries… as well as your passions, your dreams and your hopes. Even worse, I will embrace them all – accept them for what they are – accept you for who you are.
For most people, this is the scariest fucking thing ever. To truly be seen and accepted.
We all walk around with walls built up around us to protect us, because life has seemingly taught us that it is required. In truth, that is the reality – most people will quickly take from you that which they can without care of how it may impact you.
This is where you will struggle the most. I am someone you have not prepared for… someone that will see and reach beyond your walls, embrace all that you are and not try to take anything from you. It is the safety that you yearn for and yet do not trust – and that is among the scariest shit out there.
Sure, I can keep it casual. I can respect your walls and stay just beyond them. I will not force myself inside – that is not for me to do. But if you truly desire to get close to me, you will find yourself inviting me beyond the walls despite every fear you have in doing so.
Be careful what you wish for. It might just change everything.
